254nm Organic UV Fluorescent Pigment
UV-C Excited Security Pigment for Printing, Coatings and Authentication

Nichwell 254nm organic UV fluorescent pigments are engineered for high-sensitivity security and authentication applications. Activated exclusively by 254nm short-wave UV-C light, these pigments remain invisible under daylight, providing an additional level of covert security.
Available in red, orange, yellow and green emission colors, with a fine particle size of 2–6 µm for compatibility with solvent-based ink and coating systems. Dispersion and solvent compatibility should be evaluated in the customer’s actual binder and ink formulation.
Designed for compatible solvent-based ink and coating systems. Dispersion performance should be evaluated in the customer’s actual formulation before production use.
Thermal stability suitable for standard ink and coating processing conditions. For high-temperature applications above standard processing ranges, inorganic grades are recommended. Please consult our technical team for grade-specific thermal data.
254nm organic UV Fluorescent Pigment Specification:
254nm organic uv fluorescent pigment unlike organic counterparts, these pigments are highly resistant to heat (withstand temperatures up to 600°C, depending on composition), light, and chemicals. They maintain fluorescence intensity even after long-term exposure to uv radiation, moisture, or harsh solvents, making them suitable for outdoor or high-temperature processing.
| Product | Daylight Appearance | Fluorescence Under 254nm | Emission Peak | Particle Size |

Organic vs Inorganic 254nm UV Fluorescent Pigments
Nichwell offers both organic and inorganic 254nm UV fluorescent pigments to meet different application requirements: – Organic series: finer particle size (2–6 µm), designed for compatible solvent-based ink and coating systems – Inorganic series: broader particle size range (1–10 µm), selected grades offer improved thermal stability for high-temperature processing environments

Applications of 254nm Organic UV Fluorescent Pigment
This 254nm UV‑C excited fluorescent powder is designed for specialized applications requiring UV‑C activation.
1.Security Inks & Printing
Invisible under normal light and even under 365nm UV‑A, only visible under 254nm UV‑C lamp. Used for currency, passports, tax stamps, and high‑security documents.

2. Covert Authentication Features
Invisible under 365nm UV lamps and daylight. Detectable only under 254nm UV-C verification equipment. Suitable for hidden authentication marks on labels, certificates and security documents.

3. Specialty Coatings & Plastics
Incorporate into paints, varnishes, or polymer masterbatches (PP, PE, PET) to create hidden UV‑C indicators for quality control or authentication.
