Applications

UV-390 is widely used in the following fields:

1. Precision Optics & Electronics

  • Anti-blue light lenses & glasses – Protects eyes from harmful blue light while maintaining high visible light transmittance.

  • Optical films & display filters – Used in screen protectors for smartphones, tablets, and monitors to reduce blue light emission.

  • Camera/device lenses – Eliminates UV-induced haze and improves image clarity.

2. Coatings

  • Anti-blue light coatings – Applied as an additive in varnishes, hard coatings, and optical adhesives (OCA) for electronic displays.

  • Automotive & architectural films – Provides blue light protection for window films, reducing driver glare and interior fading.

  • Water-based coatings – Compatible with various coating systems, including eco-friendly waterborne formulations.

3. Plastics & Polymers

  • Engineering plastics – Suitable for PC, PMMA, PET, PA, PP, and PE. Ideal for molded parts, sheets, and films requiring blue light absorption.

  • Optical-grade plastic components – Used in light guides, diffusers, and protective covers for LED lighting and displays.

  • Masterbatch & compounding – Easy to incorporate into plastic processing (injection molding, extrusion, etc.) with high heat resistance up to 270°C.
