GLS666 Visible Light Absorbing Dye – 666nm Peak for Deep Red and Near-Infrared Edge Filtering

Visible Light Sensitive Dye GLS666

GLS666 is a deep red absorbing dye with peak absorption at 666nm. It is designed for blocking red lasers in the 660–670nm range, including red diode lasers (660nm) and certain He-Ne laser lines. GLS666 also provides useful absorption extending into the near-infrared edge, making it suitable for cut-on filters and deep red rejection in imaging systems.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is the difference between GLS666 and GLS640N?
A: GLS666 has a peak at 666nm, targeting deeper red light than GLS640N (640nm). Use GLS666 for 660nm laser blocking and edge filter applications.

Q: Can GLS666 be used for 670nm laser protection?
A: Yes. Absorption remains strong at 670nm (approximately 80% of peak).

Q: Is GLS666 fluorescent?
A: Minimal fluorescence makes it suitable for high-contrast optical applications.
